Job Posting: Steward / Prep Cook.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Steward/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to).
Steward Duties:
  • Receive and inspect orders from all vendors for accuracy and quality.
  • Properly label and store all incoming items according to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
  • Break down boxes and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Monitor storage areas for cleanliness, organization, and proper stock rotation.

Prep Cook Duties:
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or sous chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all prep areas.
  • Support kitchen team with daily setup, mise en place, and closing tasks.

Requirements:
  • Prior kitchen or stewarding experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable, punctual, and a positive team attitude.
