Job Posting: Steward / Prep Cook.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Steward/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to).
Steward Duties:

Receive and inspect orders from all vendors for accuracy and quality.
Properly label and store all incoming items according to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
Break down boxes and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Monitor storage areas for cleanliness, organization, and proper stock rotation.

Prep Cook Duties:

Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or sous chef.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all prep areas.
Support kitchen team with daily setup, mise en place, and closing tasks.

Requirements:

Prior kitchen or stewarding experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
Strong attention to detail and time management.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Dependable, punctual, and a positive team attitude.
